Save The 98!

This post has nothing to do with Vintage. It does affect me as a citizen of Arizona. I am hoping Gov. Brewer, the present state legislators and the incoming legislature will rethink the changes to AHCCS in regards to transplant patients. At this moment the Governor has shown no compassion or a willingness to save the lives of 98 approved patients who were on the transplant list before AHCCS (State Medicaid) benefits were slashed. She could save them NOW. Her response in a nutshell has been "talk to the Feds in Washington". Wake up Governor. People are dying while you are grandstanding.

  1. You and I both know that will never happen. This is my feelings on it all. The homeless go without eating. The sick and elderly go without medicine. The mentally ill go without treatment. Troops go without proper equipment. Veterans go without benefits that were promised to them. Yet we give billions in tax breaks to the wealthiest 2% of Americans -- those who need it least.

  2. we have the same problems here in California....MediCal(state aid) has been slashed too much too...but actually, the billions in tax breaks Sue is talking about would help much and the wealthiest people are the ones that create jobs... George Soros could help rather than giving billions to left wing political socialists and pet radicals..he's one of the richest in the world yet helps deserving people the least...

  3. Hi Dani,

My husband raised the same points that you have, reminding me it`s the wealthy people that create the jobs.
