A neighbor had a great yard sale this weekend and I bought some fun things. I am especially fond of the 1960`s Recipes On Parade cookbooks. There are five cookbooks, all the recipes contributed by members of Officers Wives Clubs of the Air Force, Army, Marines and Coast Guard. Not much wear except one cover corner was a little torn. I am always amazed how lard, butter and Crisco were essential to most of the recipes. I shouldn`t be amazed because that`s how my family cooked back then too. It was good cookin`!
I also found a box of Aunt Martha`s transfers and lots of fabric. It was a hot day and the ladies set up tables in a large building cooled with fans. I had time to grab a lawn chair and visit for a while too. Hope you had a fabulous weekend!
