Asthma, Sheesh.

I apologize for no posts the past two weeks. I haven`t been well, spent a few days in the hospital and am home yesterday. I hope you stick with me.

I have a problem with asthma. This is new to me. A neighbor took me to the ER because I was short of breath. The first diagnosis was a heart problem. Thankfully after all the tests my heart is fine. It`s the dust. I love to garden and I love to dig and I live on a dirt road. That`s the problem. I guess I`ll have to wear a mask when I do yard work.

I`m much better except for being tired from the stress of the hospital stay. I don`t like being cooped up! My poor husband had to drive 120 or so miles round trip. The bonus of being there was a six pound weight loss in 3 days and I know my heart is healthy.

Next week I`ll have pictures of my projects I scheduled for this weekend. They are small projects and I can finish them quickly.

Thank you for visiting. I truly appreciate it.

Cathy

    1. Thanks Nancy. I hung clothes on the line a few hours ago in the wind. Not a good idea, lol. The allergist called it allergic asthma and he prescribed Clariton. It seems to work. I sure would like the tiredness to go away. This is so not me. I do appreciate your comment Nancy and I hope all your family are well.

  2. I had the same thing happen to me a month ago.....not fun and like you I thought it was my heart. I had asthma as a kid but no problems for years and years. Hope you are doing better by now. Rest up!

  3. Sorry to hear about the trouble you just went through. Glad your heart is OK. Asthma can be a pain to deal with, I'm sure you will get used to what bothers you and find ways to deal with it. Good luck.

  4. Awe. So sorry for your breathing problems. The desert is sometimes hard to deal with, especially this Spring. Hope you are on the mend and quick. In the meantime, I have been enjoying your links on embroidery. They inspired me to dig out the floss and needles again.
    Hope you Get Well Soon!
    Blessings-

  5. That would have been frightening, Cathy. We always think it is the heart, don't we. Glad to hear it is not a problem in your case. Ken has chronic lung health issues as you know from my blog, and is supposed to avoid extremes of temperature and windy days with dust blowing around. He rides his motorcycle to work every day and wonders why he has trouble breathing..try fumes, dust, heat and cold! But he is retiring at last, at the end of May, so he will be able to avoid the causes of his breathing problems.
