See You In September Blog Hop, My Day

Thanks to Shari, aka Fearless Leader and Madam Samm, the creator of this Hop, for giving us a platform to share our creations. We are required to make three projects, one showcasing Riley Blake Gingham. RBD was considering discontinuing their gingham line. How silly was that! The medium gingham has been saved. Alas the small and large patterns will be gone. Hey, we still have the medium, which I find just about right for my projects. The other items we made were our choice.

My last minute pictures were taken in the rain. The remnants of Hurricane Norbert are passing through today and tomorrow. I won`t be covered in dust, a bonus.

I crocheted a warm, cozy  hat with a pom pom on top.  Just for me. The dog carried it to bed a few days ago. A stamp of approval!

A hot pad for my daughter in law. The pad is lined with Insulbright and Warm and Natural Cotton Batting. I`m also going to make her a matching table topper. The fabric was given to me a few years ago. I like the quaint print. I love my daughter in law!

I made this table mat for me.  The gingham is Riley Blake. The print is Moda`s Glamping. It`s lined with flannel and backed with lime green Kona Cotton. I liked working with scraps.

Below is the list of today`s presenters. Please visit them and enjoy their creations.

I haven`t been able to visit previous posts for this Hop. I promise that I`ll catch up with all of you.

    1. It`s been as cold as 11 below zero Fahrenheit here. Our winters are usually cold and dry. The hat`s great. I love to crochet. Too bad the dog likes it too! Thank you for commenting Madam Samm.

  7. Great winter hat...are you sure Sam brought it for you and not as a way of telling you "he" needed help to put it on LOL. It looks very soft and warm. Super hot pad (nice fabric) and table topper. I love the medium-sized gingham too! I'm so glad some RBD gingham is here to stay!

  11. The cap with the pompon is sooo nice, I know it can be very cold in the desert in winter time, I lived some years in the Namibian desert and I never froze that much without heating..... I would have been very happy to wear such a lovely crocheted cap, really.
I love your quilt, nice with the gingham!

  12. Third time trying to tell you all your projects are spiffy, sweet that Sam took your hat to bed, he must be comforted by your scent.

Lucky DIL to get that cute pot holder.

    1. Thank you Nancy. My son`s Boxer will be living here as of today. She is 10 and they can`t care for her anymore. Sam will like that. Sorry you had a hard time commenting. I had that problem earlier today. This Hop was difficult. It`s hard me to be cheerful some days or meet a goal. I finished. Yipee!

    1. Hi Marlene. That trailer pattern is Moda`s Glamping. I thought it was cute. I love red. Michael Miller has a design called Trailer Travel. The dominant colors in that are turquoise, gray and red. My grandmother taught me to crochet when I was eight or ten.

  37. What a wonderful hat! I wish I could crochet - just not my thing. Your daughter-in-law is going to be thrilled with the hot pad. Your quilt is adorable. I love the red/white gingham. The green on the back has to be gorgeous. I read that you recently became a widow and you are losing a best friend. I am sorry. I lost my husband a year ago in July. Things are still a mess in my life from it. I have attended two sessions of Grief Share and just started with a different group of it. That has helped or I would be non-functioning, I think. I've been to visit my daughter more - not because of that, just her needs for a sitter. i took my first trip abroad. I'm just trying to put one foot in front of the other. Thanks for participating and sharing a bit of your summer with us. Blessings my friend!
