Hello Spring!

It`s nice to be back.  Jack has been gone two years now. My life is more organized, not so much turmoil. Still sad, but I`ve made positive steps. Not an easy path, but once on that path we have to go on. And I know my husband would want that for me.

Since my post in December I`ve been  working outside,  sorting stuff and filling dumpsters. The weather has been beautiful.  Outbuildings are in stages of repair and painting. I`ve had little time to sew. I love being outdoors.

A Joshua bud. They should start being fragrant about now.

This is a great place to live. Sam the dog and I are outside just before sunrise. No noise other than birds.  Mr. Cat sits at a window watching quail and rabbits. It is time to be watchful of snakes. They like cool mornings. It`s been dusty lately. Thank goodness for Swiffer Dusters!  Shopping is 45 minutes to an hour drive each way.  We do have a gas station/grocery store, library, dollar store, four cozy restaurants and great views in every direction.

Have a great day my friends.
Cathy

    1. Hi Colette! The flowers should open in about two weeks. They have an overpowering sweet smell. Guess I`ll be seeing lots of bees soon.

  4. Hi Cathy, so glad to see your post. I should be doing more cleaning than sewing because when summer comes I just want to be outside having fun. We have had a mild winter here in western NY, but wish things were starting to bloom. Can't wait to see the Jochua tree in full bloom. Have a good week!

    1. Hi Sheila. Glad to hear you had a mild winter. When we visited the folks near Buffalo there was always feet of snow. That was a long time ago. I loved spring in that area.

    1. Hi Nancy. The Joshua buds are just starting to smell. If you`ve ever been in close quarters with a heavily perfumed person that`s just what it will smell like soon as you open a door or window! I`m used to it. haha!

  6. Watching for snakes doesn't sound fun at all, but it definitely looks beautiful where you live. I need to do more cleaning around my place, but that sewing machine keeps calling my name. Looks like your sweet babies are keeping you company.

  7. Hi Carol. It is pretty here. No smog, little traffic, sometimes a little too much dust. A very relaxed place. It`s always nice to hear from you.
