A Short History Of Gingham

I collect vintage gingham yet didn`t know a lot about this popular fabric. Here is a link to a brief history. Facts about Gingham.

I prefer my gingham to be true vintage 100% cotton. This fabric has a more supple, much nicer hand than gingham available to us today. Vintage gingham can be found on Ebay, but I would deal with a seller with a proven background in vintage fabrics.

Till Later,
Cathy

  3. I'm creatively-challenged when it comes to sewing, knitting or crocheting. But I love looking at other people's works and finished products. Thanks for sharing!

  4. Cathy, I'll blame you if I sleep in late tomorrow morning! I came to your blog to catch up with your interesting life and great photos, then clicked on the gingham link to read about that.
Then I went over to your 'political' blog and after reading that, clicked on the links to the other two political commentary blogs. An hour later...OMG, it is 1 am!
It is fascinating (and a bit frightening) to read what is going on in your country at different levels. We don't hear anything like it here; Obama is still seen by many to be the New Saviour of the western world...it seems like he is not what he was cracked up to be when he won the election.
As for the illegal immigrants, oh my gosh - I thought we had problems. I'm going to point my readers in your direction; I think it will be a real eye-opener for the Aussies.

Love the new template - looks great, by the way!!
Love that that train station will be renovated - those stories make our hearts sing!!
