Fresh Herbs and Eggs

Happy Thursday everyone! What`s been happening? Well....I was down to two eggs, not enough for a pound cake and out of the blue a neighbor calls telling me her chickens have been very productive and would I like a few eggs. She dropped off two dozen! Talk about timely!

The next day we visited a friend and I mentioned my fondness for fresh herbs. He gave me a small jar each of oregano, mint and bay leaves. So much better than store bought. The smell is divine.

Another neighbor grows many herbs including German Chamomile, one of many I use for medicinal purposes. Buying local I am assured of a good product.

Take care,
Cathy

  1. First...where is your son located? Was it a smaller community? That is scary about not having pain killers..very concerning.

How wonderful to have fresh eggs and fresh herbs, what good neighbors. Bet you are dining well!

  2. So many blessings. I'm glad the surgery went well but, how shocking that there were not enough pain meds. I knew that was happening in some areas with prescription medications but didn't know there was a problem with pain meds unavailable after surgery in a hospital. I can't help but think of all the illegal drugs on the street and your son can't even get the medication he needs.

I hope and pray he is doing better.

  3. I'm glad your dear son finally got some relief. I don't comprehend no pain meds being available in the hospital. I guess that's a sign of the times we are living in.

I hope and pray he is well on his way to a full recovery!
