Holiday Time In Northwest Arizona

The  Grandwash Cliffs dusted in snow and the Joshua trees a little greener. Beautiful backyard view.

My best and favorite Christmas Apron. It`s about 50 years old!

Did you have a Flexible Flyer? My sister and I steered into snow drifts and sometimes tossed from our sleds. There were a few times when that snow drift was ice. Ouch!

One of the most beautiful places on earth, the Uncompahgre Plateau in Colorado. My first hunting trip was there and it was a  balmy -13F.

 Last years snow Christmas week.

Iron Mountain towering over the Joshua Tree National  Natural Landmark. A half mile up the road from me.

Natures beauty is a joy. I am blessed to be surrounded by these gifts from God. I will be posting again between sessions of gift making. Thank you for stopping by. I will post the gifts I made after the recipients open them. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays.

  1. Beautiful photos Cathy. It's always nice to see the seasons change. My husband just sold a Flexable Flyer on Craig's list. The gentleman was buying it for his grand kids.

  3. Hi Colette! Thanks for the comments. The apron was in a huge lot I bought on ebay some years ago. It was a nice find. As for the pictures, I`m playing with Instagram.

    1. Hi Nancy! Always nice to hear from you. The family decided on no Christmas gifts this year but I`m making easy, fast little things like zip pouches and small mug rugs. Maybe add some homemade jelly to the box and I found a nice shop to buy Yucca Soap/Shampoo for out of state family.. I hope your daughter is doing okay. You are in my thoughts alot..

  5. Your pictures of the scenery are just gorgeous! I never had a sled like that, but living in Las Vegas didn't really require one. As for that apron...love it!

    1. I lived in Las Vegas a long time ago. You can`t sled on dust and wind! Lol I`m about an hour south of you. Glad you like the pictures. My husband was a past president of the Las Vegas prospecting club. We had great field trips here. Gold was easier to find 30 years ago. Have a great day!
